Our suppliers, key to deploy our purpose
Finding the right partners, aligned with our values and commitments with the health community, contributes to the success of our business
Almirall Supplier´s Code of Conduct
Sustainability Standards, as outlined in the Almirall’s Suppliers Code of Conduct, list our expectations towards suppliers in the areas of ethics, human rights & labour, health & safety, environment and management systems.
Sustainable Procurement
”We truly believe that collaborative relationships with our suppliers can lead to identifying innovative new approaches that can help to achieve our mutual success.”
In line with our Purpose, we request our key suppliers to be evaluated by an independent rating agency using strict ESG criteria to ensure that they align to our sustainability standards. Based on their scorecards and identified risks, we establish corrective action plans to mitigate and reduce those risks as well to improve overtime.
Audits metrics & KPI´s
Through these main KPIs we measure and monitor the development and success of the Sustainable Procurement Programme.

Carbon footprint- Scope 3 / Net Zero
For those purposes, among other initiatives, we have in place a Supplier Engagement Program with those suppliers that represent a high impact on our carbon footprint, whose three key objectives are:
Gain InsightWe work closely with our suppliers to gain understanding of their greenhouse gas emissions and how they impact in our carbon footprint. This allows us to track their progress and fine-tune our strategy accordingly.
Get AlignmentWe communicate our ambition to our suppliers and aim to align them with our goals. This is achieved by establishing targets, implementing actions and identifying opportunities of emissions reduction.
Capacity BuildingRecognizing that some of our suppliers may need assistance in managing their greenhouse gas emissions, we offer targeted training and resources.
At Almirall, we believe that decarbonization is a journey, not a destination. We are committed to this journey and are excited about what the future holds. Together, we can make a difference.
Measurement – KPI´s – Carbon footprint
As part of our efforts to promote sustainability, we have implemented a Sustainable Procurement Programme and Environmental strategy that includes SBTI-approved emissions reduction commitments. We regularly measure the program's success and development through two main KPIs that have been redefined and communicated to the company's ESG committee for the years 2023-2050
Reducing emissions: our commitment to reach the Paris Agreement
2030
50%
CO2 emissions reduction in Scope 1 & 2 compared with 2019
28%

Supplier Training Program
Our objective is to equip our suppliers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and reduce their emissions. We aim to help them identify potential areas for improvement and guide them towards achieving more optimal levels of greenhouse gas emissions. This is part of our commitment to building capacity for sustainability within our supply chain.
